I enjoyed today the most so far. It was nice to finally get a chance to sink my mind into some of the basic particle physics we've been alluding to. I do agree with the others, that in the future, it might be useful to conduct the "particle adventure," or something similar, closer to the beginning of the workshop.

I also really enjoyed my revisit to mass spectrometry. I had taken a similar tour several years ago in chemistry 112, but didn't really understand it at all. This time around, much more of it made sense.

Day 2

I have more and more questions about the nature of "non particulate" forms of radiation. I find it to be a difficult concept to grasp that these emissions truly have no mass. Maybe some of you agree with me that it becomes increasingly difficult to conceptualize certain forces when one breaks down existence into its essense. At what point can a something no longer be broken down or rationalized? When is it just "because?"

I am quite upset that I missed the majority of Dr. Mei's lecture, Hopefully I ll be able to make all others.

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a good time. Questions I have so far are mostly related to beta emission. I understand beta negative (proton to neutron,) not so much beta positive. Also hoping to learn more about other subatomic particles I know nothing about.
